Description

Did you know that Bath is the official birthplace of FRANKENSTEIN?

Visit the origins of the world’s most famous Monster and experience The House of Frankenstein’s award winning, multi-sensory Museum & Escape Rooms. Here visitors will discover the true story of author Mary Shelley, who wrote the novel whilst living in Bath in 1816, learn about her unconventional tragic life and the incredible global legacy of her infamous creation.

Bursting with unusual artefacts, emotive soundtracks, bespoke smells and effects it also features rooms dedicated to Popular Culture, an intimate screening room showing the first ever Frankenstein film from 1910, a jaw dropping 8ft animated Creature, two themed Escape Rooms and, for the braver visitor, a creepy walkthrough experience in the basement.

Key features • 4 multi-sensory floors set in a Grade II listed central Bath town house • 11 atmospherically themed rooms complete with aroma and sound scapes • The world’s first 8ft animatronic recreation of Frankenstein’s “Creature” as Mary Shelley imagined • Victor’s Lair Escape Room • The Shallows Basement Escape Room • The Body In A Suitcase Escape Game • The Gift Escape Game • A Frankenstein inspired gift shop • Bloody Mary’s Bar • A creepy walk-through Basement experience (optional)

Victor's Lair Escape Room

The clock is ticking for you to unlock the mysteries of an unhinged mind and, more critically, your way out to freedom! This puzzle-based game suitable for groups and families with older children. Tickets for Victor's Lair Escape Room are separate to the main House attraction, but you will be able to explore the award-winning, multi-sensory museum afterwards, including the option to enter the horrifying walkthrough experience in the basement.
